What you eat and when you eat is serious business to Disciplined Eaters. And they, more than others, feel that what they put in their mouths really says something about who they are. With good health as their priority, they try to pick foods that make them feel good for the long haul — not just junk foods they may crave at a given time. For them, eating healthfully may become more than just a way to stay fit and vibrant — they may find themselves competing with others or becoming dogmatic in their approach to eating right. Maybe they want to live a healthful life, maybe they want their family to follow their example, or maybe restricting the foods they eat is a way for them to reassert their control over some aspect of their life.
